WannaCry

WannaCry is a type of ransomware that encrypts files and requires a bitcoin payment to recover them. It affected several industries, across 74 countries^[1], including national health systems, and telecoms. It is imperative to address WannaCry vulnerabilities, as researchers report this threat is evolving^[2].
