What is a Rolled Up ID?

Rolled Up ID is a stable and randomized identifier for findings within a single entity. It is assigned to a finding when one or more observations with largely similar key properties occur in close succession.

  • It is consistent even if new observations are added to the finding.
  • It is the key field used for finding comments.

Key Properties

The key properties that roll up observations into a finding can vary.

If observations are different enough, a new finding is created with a different rolled up ID instead of being added to an existing finding.
