Building Automation and Control Network (BACnet) is a communication protocol for building automation and control networks. It is widely used in applications, such as HVAC, lighting, access control, and fire detection systems. BACnet facilitates interoperability among building automation devices from different manufacturers allowing them to communicate over various networks, such as IP and MS/TP.
