Cisco Smart Install Protocol (Cisco SMI), a “plug-and-play” configuration and image-management feature, can be used by attackers to access and install new firmware on Cisco IOS devices. See the Cisco Security Advisory to learn more about how this protocol can be abused.
To see if a company in your portfolio is vulnerable, search for “Cisco SMI” within the Open Ports filter of your portfolio.
