AI Findings Table Assistant: summaries, insights, and next steps for findings

The AI Findings Table Assistant analyzes the findings in the Findings Table and answers your questions about them in the Ask Bitsight AI chat. It summarizes findings in plain language, identifies trends and potential risks, and suggests next steps. This article describes how to open the Assistant, ask a question, review the results, and turn off AI features.

What is the AI Findings Table Assistant?

The Assistant works within the Findings Table. It reads the findings in the table you have open and returns results in a side panel. You provide a question, either as free text or by selecting a standard prompt. The Assistant returns the results, and you decide how to use them. You use table filters to narrow the findings and refine the results.

How do I open the Assistant?

1. Go to the Findings Table in SPM or CM.
2. Select the AI Assistant icon in the Findings Table header.
3. The Ask Bitsight AI chat interface opens.

How do I ask the Assistant a question?

1. In the Ask Bitsight AI chat, type a question in the free text field, or select a standard prompt.
2. The Assistant will return results in the side panel.

What does the Assistant return?

• Plain-language summaries: Explanations of the table data in clear language.
• Trends and risks: Patterns and potential risks in the findings in the table.
• Critical details: Key findings that need your attention or follow-up
• Next steps: Recommended actions based on the findings in the table

How do I use the Assistant’s results?

1. Review each result in the side panel against the findings in the table.
2. Use table filters to view the specific findings a result refers to.
3. Take the actions your workflow requires. 

How do I disable AI features?

1. Select Settings.
2. Select Account Preferences.
3. Select AI features and turn it off.
