Updating the Microsoft Power BI Integration Jessica Power BI is on a monthly release cycle. To access the latest release and the newest version of our integration, you must first delete the Power BI Desktop version installed on your machine. Once that version is deleted, you can install the latest version via the store or online. Currently, this integration has two versions: certified and uncertified. Certified Integration By default, you’re using the certified version of the integration, which Microsoft has validated and approved. To update a certified version of the integration: Delete Power BI Desktop from your machine. Install the latest available version of Power BI. Open Power BI. Select Get Data > More. Search for Bitsight and select it. Use the Navigator dialog box to preview and create an output. Non-Certified Integration A limited number of users have been given access to a non-certified version of this integration. This version is waiting for Microsoft approval. To update a non-certified version of the integration: Delete the .mez file inside the Power BI/Custom Connectors folder on your machine. Open Power BI Desktop. Go to File > Options & settings > Options > Security. In the Data Extensions section, select (recommended) Only allow Microsoft certified and other trusted third-party extensions to load, then select Ok. Close and reopen Power BI Desktop. Select Get Data > More. Search for Bitsight and select it. Use the Navigator dialog box to preview and create an output. March 18, 2024: Published.
