Security Ratings Changes & Highlights

The Security Ratings Changes panel highlights the rating changes of a company from the past year, such as:

Security Ratings panel, Rating Change Explanation (RCE)

• Drops of 10 points or greater in a company’s Bitsight Security Rating by showing findings that contributed to the change (if any).
• Rating algorithm changes, including changes to risk vectors.
• Historical rating changes, such as a network remap.

Highlights Key

Digit

The rating was affected by changes to risk vector letter grades.

Exclamation Point

When a ratings-impacting Security Incident event occurred.

Ratings Algorithm Update

An update has been made to the ratings algorithm.

Actions

Download Chart

Download the Security Rating Chart image.

Instructions: Select Options ➔ Save as Image at the top-right of the panel.

Download History

Download a 1-year history of the company’s security rating.

Instructions: Select Options ➔ Download Data at the top-right of the panel.

Collaborate

Send a request to collaborate via the Client/Vendor Access Program.

Instructions: Select Share to the right of the highlighted event.

Show or Hide Industry Rating Range

Show or hide the range of ratings for all companies within the same industry.

Outliers are excluded.

Instructions: Select the [Industry Name] Industry Range checkbox.

Show or Hide Portfolio Range

Show or hide the range of ratings for all companies within your portfolio.

Outliers are excluded.

Instructions: Select the Portfolio Range checkbox.

View Security Incident Details

Instructions:

1. Select the incident icon at the bottom of the chart to see the incident details, including the effective date.
2. Select the incident details to view additional details.
3. Select the additional details to get the event summary.
4. Select the external link icon in the event summary to visit the source news report.
