Jira Integration Jessica Jira is an Atlassian product that allows bug tracking, issue tracking, and agile project management.Bitsight's Jira integration streamlines security workflow by automatically creating and assigning detailed Jira tickets from the Bitsight, translating security findings into immediate action. This secure, customizable, and admin-managed application reduces manual effort for ticket creation and status updates in both systems. Security teams can easily submit requests to internal collaborators using most Bitsight filters. This helps Bitsight customers unlock new value from SPM by: Accelerating Issue Escalation: Security findings and requested actions are pushed directly into Jira, expediting issue routing to the most appropriate team. Enhancing Collaboration: Stakeholders engaged by the security team can receive, prioritize, and fulfill security requests using their preferred tool, while ensuring that the security team has ongoing visibility into status in the Bitsight portal. Increasing Operational Efficiency: Time-consuming and error-prone copy and paste or data export workflows are replaced with automatic synchronization of findings details from Bitsight to Jira. Improving Security Execution: Simplifying and expediting response to high-priority security findings increases the likelihood that security weaknesses will be resolved before they can be exploited by threat actors. Key Features of this integration include: Application Configuration: The application configuration page offers users two tabs, Bitsight and Jira, for customizing preferences. The Bitsight tab allows users to set filters for fetching specific findings, while the Jira tab enables configuration of Jira issue creation preferences. Automated Issue Creation and Updates: This application integrates with Bitsight to retrieve findings for a chosen company. It then automatically generates corresponding Jira issues. For findings that already have an existing Jira issue, the application updates that issue with the most recent information in the summary and description fields. Scheduled Data Sync: The built-in scheduler automatically synchronizes the Jira space daily, keeping it updated with the most recent Bitsight findings. Bidirectional Status Updates: The integration updates Jira issue status and Bitsight status in both directions. This synchronization is executed by an hourly scheduler, not by an immediate trigger.
