We are excited to announce our new integration with Jira. This new integration is available now to Bitsight SPM customers who have the External Attack Surface Management (EASM) Enhanced module.
Bitsight’s new Jira integration makes it easy to automatically generate and assign Jira tickets right from the Bitsight console, streamlining issue escalation and simplifying ongoing status reporting. Automated workflows between Bitsight and Jira give security teams a simple, reliable, and scalable way to turn security findings into action. Security professionals reviewing Bitsight findings can now submit information-rich Jira requests to system administrators, software developers, operations teams, and other internal collaborators right from Bitsight.
This helps Bitsight users unlock new value from SPM by:
- Accelerating Issue Escalation: Security findings and requested actions are pushed directly into Jira, expediting issue routing to the most appropriate team.
- Enhancing Collaboration: Stakeholders engaged by the security team can receive, prioritize, and fulfill security requests using their preferred tool, while ensuring that the security team has ongoing visibility into status in the Bitsight portal.
- Increasing Operational Efficiency: Time-consuming and error-prone copy and paste or data export workflows are replaced with automatic synchronization of findings details from Bitsight to Jira.
- Improving Security Execution: Simplifying and expediting response to high-priority security findings increases the likelihood that security weaknesses will be resolved before they can be exploited by threat actors.

Q: Will all SPM customers get access to the Jira Integration?
A: The Jira integration is only available to customers with the EASM Enhanced module.
Q: Does the integration support bi-directional sync?
A: No. This version of the integration does not support bi-directional sync, but it does allow you to view the current status and assignee of Jira tickets created with the integration in the Finding Details sheet.
Q: Who can set up the integration?
A: The integration can only be set up by a Bitsight Admin and a Project Jira Admin.
Q: Will this integration have an app in the Atlassian marketplace?
A: No.
