Portfolio Risk: Compare Companies

The Compare Companies page [ Portfolio Risk ➔ Compare Companies] in the Continuous Monitoring application allows you to select individual companies to compare ratings with companies in your portfolio and see their progress over time. The comparison data can compare up to 5 companies, industry peers, tiers, and folders.

• Compare companies with each other and against industries.
• Analyze industry ratings.
• Download custom reports with your selected comparison data.

This feature is only available in the Continuous Monitoring application.

Select the View button at the top-right of the Comparison Data panel to generate a Benchmarking report.

Actions

Filter Companies to Select for Comparison

Instructions: Use the available filters on the left.

Generate and View Comparison

Instructions:

1. Check the Checkbox to the left of a company in the table to select the companies for comparison.
2. Select the Save and View button at the top-right of the Compare Companies page.

Search Companies

Instructions: Use the Search… bar at the top-right of the Compare Companies table to search for companies by company name or industry.

Filters

Country

Filter companies by those with at least 1 IP address that geolocates to the selected country.

Filter Values: Country name.

Folder

Filter companies in selected folders.

Filter Values: Folder name.

Industry

Filter by companies in a particular industry.

Filter Values: Industry name.

Infections

Filter companies by those affected by selected botnets.

Life Cycle

Filter companies by their life cycle stage.

Filter Values: Life cycle stage.

Open Ports

Filter by companies with open ports.

Filter Values:

• Port number.
• Service name.

Product

Filter companies that are dependent on a selected product.

Filter Values: Product name.

Product Type

Filter companies that are dependent on a selected product type.

Filter Values: Product type. See business functions.

Public Disclosures

Filter by companies impacted by Public Disclosures events.

Filter Values:

• Breach
• General
• Other

Rating Type

Filter by rating type.

Filter Values:

• Curated
• Private
• Automated
• Self-published

Relationship

Filter companies by company relationship.

Filter Values: Relationship name. See relationship types.

Risk Vector Grade

Filter Values:

• Letter grades A through F.
• Risk types (risk categories and risk vectors).

Security Rating

Filter companies with security ratings in a selected range.

Filter Values: The minimum and maximum rating in the 250-900 security rating range.

Service Provider

Filter companies that are dependent on a selected service provider.

Filter Values: Provider name.

Software

Find vendors that are using unsupported software (out-of-date, missing latest vendor updates). They are open to certain security risks until they update.

Filter Values:

• Support status (category):
  • Supported
  • Unsupported
  • Unknown
• Software name.

Subscription Type

Filter companies using selected subscription types.

Filter Values: Subscription name. See licenses and subscriptions.

Tier

Companies in tiers, prioritized by inherent risk.

Filter Values:

• Tier name.
• Untiered.

Vendor Action Plan

Filter by the action plan for the vendor.

Filter Values:

• Monitor
• Review
• Escalate

Vulnerabilities

Filter companies by those affected by a particular vulnerability.

Filter Values:

• Vulnerability name.
• CVE ID.
