Alerts can be configured for the ServiceNow Third-party Risk Management Application within the Bitsight platform, independent of ServiceNow. Learn more about Bitsight Alerts.
A Vendor Risk Issue can be created in ServiceNow if any critical or warning alerts are generated by Bitsight. These alerts are generated based on the Bitsight alert configuration for the API token used for the integration. To enable this, check the “Create Vendor Risk Issue…” checkbox located in the Bitsight “Application Configuration” module in ServiceNow.
This is only for alerts generated in the last 7 days or as configured in the “Maximum age (days) of Bitsight Alert to trigger issue creation (defaults to 7)” configuration.
To test the alert, execute the portfolio import and alert import scripts as a ServiceNow Admin. This can be done immediately (out of schedule). You will need to execute them in the order that’s listed in the Bitsight “Data Import Jobs Schedules” module.
