How to Edit a User Jessica To edit an existing user: Navigate to the Users tab in the Manage Access page [ Settings ➔ Manage Access ➔ Users]. Select the More Options icon next to the user you’d like to edit. Select Edit. Make your desired edits. Select Save. Only Admins and Group Admins can edit users. See user management and Users tab permissions. Editable Fields Details * Required. Email (Login) * Required. The user’s email address. This is also used as part of their login credentials when logging in to the Bitsight platform. User Name / Alias * Required. This user’s formal name. Role This user’s role. See user roles. Group Assign this user to an Access Control Group. Access Control Groups provides the ability for users in the group to see and monitor only the subset of companies in their group. Changing a user’s group may change their folder contents. A user can belong to only one group at any given time. Users cannot be added to a group in bulk. If a user is not assigned to a group, they are automatically assigned to the default group. This is the “All Companies” group by default, with access to all companies in your portfolio. Contact Type Collaboration Contact Invitations to collaborate from other companies are sent to the collaboration contact. See permissions. Subscription Contact The subscription contact is notified of via email when other users request to add companies to the portfolio. See permissions. If enabled, this user is listed as the contact for their Access Control Group. If no users are assigned, up to 3 users who can add companies to the portfolio are listed. Go to your Account page to identify the Admins (Customer Admin) and Group Admins (Customer Group Admins) for your account.
