Data Vault – April 22, 2024

Introducing the Data Vault. It provides an opportunity for cyber insurers to ingest the underlying data behind Bitsight Security Ratings without the Cyber Insurance application. The data is delivered through a flat file in AWS S3. See the file format details.

The data can be manipulated to create derivative work on the resulting analysis.

• Find signal in historical claims data with respect to Bitsight scores.
• Tune underwriting guidelines and direct behavior on what to pay attention to during the risk selection period.
• Analyze the underlying Security Ratings data feed for a signal against historical claims.
• Up to 5 years of daily historical ratings and risk vector grades are included.

Setup

To set up the Data Vault, submit a list of either unique domains associated with the companies or their company names to Bitsight. It is used to search for companies in the Bitsight inventory.
