If you are unable to remediate findings related to parked domains or want to have a separate rating that is not impacted by these assets, you can create a self-published company that specifically excludes them from your rating.
Domains that are registered to your organization can't be removed from the Bitsight curated rating, but we can exclude them from a self-published company.
If you already have a self-published company created, let Customer Support know and we can exclude these IPs from there instead. Otherwise, you can create a new self-published company that specifically excludes your honeypot IPS.
Creating a Self-Published Company
You can request to create a self-published company directly from the Bitsight platform by following the steps outlined in the article Requesting a Self-Published Report.
Alternatively, you can reach out to the Customer Support team and provide them with the following details about your self-published company:
- Name: (e.g., "Company Name - Function")
- Location: Where it fits in your organizational structure.
- Primary URL: Usually the same as your parent company.
- Description: Overview of the entity and its services.
- Visibility: Public or private.
- List of Domains to Exclued: If large, a CSV is preferable.
Public self-published companies can be set as the primary rating of your company. This designation helps communicate which company you believe is the accurate indication of your security posture to third parties.
