A profile represents a company segment that operates with enough independence to justify separate management within the Vendor Risk Management (VRM) or Trust Management Hub (TMH) applications. Examples of profiles include individual products, subsidiaries, or regions.
Profiles in VRM and TMH apps allow organizations to tailor their operations by segmenting activities such as vendor management, customer interactions, and documentation. This segmentation ensures that each part of the business can operate with flexibility and autonomy.
Key Features of Profiles
- VRM: Vendor management and assessment settings are profile-specific, ensuring tailored risk management for each segment of your organization. Each profile can set its unique preferences and maintain independent vendor lists. If the same vendor is added to two profiles, it will be treated as two separate connections, each requiring a license.
- TMH: Profiles manage customer connections and documentation independently. Each profile maintains its own set of security documentation—such as questionnaires, certifications, insurance policies, and audits—and can receive different customer requirements. This separation ensures that documentation and interactions are tailored to the specific needs of each profile. Every customer connection counts as a license, meaning that sharing two different profiles with the same customer will require two licenses.
