The Jira integration allows you to create Jira tickets from the Finding Details sheet in the Findings Table.
- Select a finding to open the Finding Details sheet.
- Select Create Jira Ticket in the top right of the sheet.
- Complete the required fields in the ticket.
- Issue type: All issue types for the connected Jira project are listed.
- Reporter: By default, the Jira administrator who configured the integration is listed as the reporter. You can change this to any user in your Jira account.
- Optionally, you may choose to add an additional message in the Description field. Finding details from Bitsight will appear in the description.
- Select Create.
The following finding fields are sent in the Description field:
- Risk Vector
- Finding Identifier
- Finding Grade
- First Seen
- Last Seen
- Impacts Risk Vector Grade
- Remaining Lifetime
- Finding Severity
- Attributed to
- Rolled Up ID
- Link to view finding inside Bitsight
- Service Provider IP
- Sample Hostname
- Last Seen IP:Port
- FInal Location
- Remediation Issue
- Remediation Details
- Remediation Tip
- Asset
- Asset Importance
The summary field is filled in automatically with the following information: "Bitsight Finding Risk Vector Finding Identifier Grade First Seen"
What Does It Look Like In Bitsight?
After a ticket is created, you can view the following information in the Finding Details sheet:
- Jira ticket number and a link to Jira
- Jira project where the ticket was created
- Reporter
- Creation date
- Ticket status
- Ticket issue type
- Ticket assignee to the Jira ticket
- Date last updated
You can only create one Jira ticket for each finding. After a ticket is created, the Create Jira Ticket button is replaced with a link to the existing ticket.
