Alert Settings Ingrid Use the Alert Settings page to edit your alerts. Navigation Options SPM App: See guide. Only Admins are authorized to modify Admin-Defined alert sets. See permissions. The management of alerts is dependent on user permissions. See Permissions: Alerts, Notifications, & Email. Alert Settings Tabs Depending on the application, the Alert Settings page contains the following tabs: CM App: Tiers and Folders and Alert Sets Insurance App: Folders and Alert Sets National Cybersecurity App: Tiers and Folders and Alert Sets Tiers and Folders The Tiers and Folders (or Folders) tab contains your alerts. Use this tab to: View the details of the alert. Assign Alert Sets. Only shared alerts can be enabled for everyone. Assigning alerts to “Everyone“ only applies the alert to users within the same Access Control Group (ACG) as the user assigning the alert at the time of assignment. If new users are added to the ACG, they will need the alerts assigned. Tiers are not applicable in the Insurance app. Name The name of the folder, tier, or subscription. Alert Set Sets of alerts based on importance and Bitsight recommendations. Policy Indicates if the alert is enabled for yourself or for those who have access to the folder, tier, or subscription. Email Use the Toggle to enable or disable alert emails for yourself. Actions Apply alert sets either for yourself (Edit Personal) or for those with access to the folder, tier, or subscription (Assign Alert). Alert Sets Bitsight Presets Locked, system-level alert configurations. These alert sets are based on best practices to help you kickstart your use of the Bitsight platform. The following presets are our recommendations based on importance. Basic: Recommended alerts for low-risk companies. Standard: Recommended alerts for medium-risk companies. Total Coverage: Recommended alerts for high-risk companies. Admin-Defined System-wide alerts based on program policy, typically structured using tiers. User-Defined Personal alerts created by individual users. Duplicating Alert Sets How to duplicate alert sets You may also duplicate or create your own alert sets and customize it for your specific needs. Select either the Create Alert Set button at the top-right or the Duplicate Alert Set option to copy an existing alert set. Refer to the help box on the right to determine which alert categories to enable. Sharing Alert Sets How to share alert sets Alert sets can be shared with users in your organization. Select Edit Alert Set, and then check the Share checkbox at the top-right. Shared alert sets are only visible to users within the same Access Control Group (ACG) as the user who shared them. If new users are added to the ACG, they will be able to view previously shared alert sets from other users in that ACG. January 14, 2024: Permissions management clarification.
