Beacon: Selective Sharing - Share Only What You Want

Beacon provides additional fine tune options for you to manage your customer relationships based on your needs. Share your data, sharing only what you want.

As a paid Beacon subscriptor, Beacon allows you to share assurances, questionnaires and scans with your customers at any time. Additionally, now you can choose what to share and who to share it with, thanks to the new Selective Sharing functionality.

Selective Sharing allows you to select which of all your uploaded documents from your security profile you wish to share, with each one of your customers having a unique connection experience based on their needs and requirements.

You will be able to turn on selective sharing when:

• You click on Share My Data and wish to generate a new connection.
• You receive a request from a customer and you answer sending your Security Profile.
• You want to edit the existing connection you already have with any of your customers.

Let’s start with new customer connections - use selective sharing to choose the information you wish to share:

1. Select Share My Data in the Connections page.

2. Enter your customer information (such as email, subject, and message) in the Share My Data window.
3. Enable the Selective Sharing toggle to select which of all your uploaded documents in your security profile you wish to share with this particular new connection. If you don’t enable the selective sharing functionality, your new customer connection will receive all your uploaded documents with no restriction.

   Remember you can turn selective sharing on in each one of your connections - personalize them based on your needs and requirements!

4. Select Submit to continue.
5. In the Selective Sharing window, you will be able to select which documents you wish to share with this new connection based on your uploaded security profile. Your selected documents are identified with a green check mark.
6. Select Submit to continue.
7. Back on your Connections page, the main dashboard will allow you to track all your pending sent invitations. All the ones with selective sharing functionality on will appear with orange share icon right next to the company name, for you to easily identify them.
8. After sharing your information, you may edit, cancel, or resend the connection.

In case you add any new documents to your profile, the customers for whom you’veturned selective share on, will not be able to see them automatically. Therefore, take the time to manually select whether you wish to make them available or not.
