If a company is not yet listed in the company search results, submit a request to add that company to the Bitsight inventory from either the Request company link located at the bottom of the search results page or the Company Requests page [ Settings ➔ Company Requests].
Requirements
- The company’s assets must be online and they must resolve to a unique website of the company in question or publicly registered on the company’s name.
Permissions
- Any user may submit company requests.
- Only Admin, Group Admin, and Portfolio Manager may submit company requests in bulk (Multiple Request).
Instructions
Submit a Request for a Single Company
- Enter the URL or domain name that’s associated with the company.
- You will receive an email notification when the report is ready.

Submit a Request for Multiple Companies
- Upload a CSV file that includes a column with company domain names.
Please note:
- Timeline: Requests for multiple companies may take up to 1 month to process.
- You will be automatically subscribed to companies that were already available in the Bitsight inventory and will receive a summary of your request via email and when new companies are added.
- You can also select a subscription type to use for the companies once they’re available and a folder to organize them into your portfolio.

Track Your Requests
Once your request is complete and the company has been added as an active company to the Bitsight inventory, enable Company Requests notifications to be notified of its availability via email and you’ll then be able to add the company to your portfolio. The overall process to generate the report takes 3-10 days.
You may periodically check your email for updates or use the Company Requests page to track the status of your request or to request a new company. This page includes all requests submitted by you or by other users in your organization.
In some cases, a company cannot be added to the Bitsight inventory. See mapping scenarios.

Company Request Statuses
Company requests can have the following statuses:
- Cancelled

The request was cancelled.

The company was added. It can be viewed and can be added to your folder or tier.

The requested domain could not be processed.
Troubleshooting:
- Copy and paste the submitted domain into a browser or try including the
www. prefix to see if it resolves. - If the domain redirects, use the forwarded domain. Be sure to search for the new domain in the Bitsight inventory before resending a company request.
- Ensure the company’s assets are online.

If I choose to add a company to the portfolio, will they be notified that BitSight has started to monitoring them? I want to pull a report on a company that is not available from the search bar, but don't want them to be notified that we are pulling information for business confidentiality reasons. Please advise.
