Go to your Account page to configure your user and distribution list preferences. This page also shows your Admin and assigned contacts.

User Preferences

Go to Settings ➔ Account ➔ User Preferences.

User Preferences Sections

Section Description
Email Preferences Email alerts are generated when the Bitsight Security Rating of a company in your portfolio changes within a 7-day period. Alerts are delivered Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. (EDT). See notification types.
Password Settings

Update or change your password. You will be able to enter your current password and then enter a new password. See the Bitsight Password Policy.

If you've forgotten your password, use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page of the Bitsight Security Ratings Platform. It will send an email containing a link that will allow you to reset your password to the Bitsight registered email address.
Two-Factor Authentication

Enable two-factor (2FA) authentication to get an extra layer of security to your account.

  • Configure 2FA for your account.
  • Enforce 2FA for all users or specific users.
  • Integrate your existing authentication mechanism via SAML.
API Token Generate or view your user API token.
Company API Token Generate or view your company API tokens.
Color Themes Set the color scheme to display and view the Bitsight platform.
Asset Risk Matrix Preferences Configure the size and color theme of the Asset Risk Matrix.
Risk Analytics Select your preferred color them for the Risk Analytics page.
Beta Features Enable or disable beta features.

Distribution List

Alerts can be sent via a distribution email. Distributed alert settings are separate from user-specific alerts. Company-wide emails will only be distributed if a distribution list is set. Similar to user-specific email alerts, the Ratings Threshold Change can be configured.

Only Admin can set up the company-wide email distribution lists, as it’s an organization-wide setting. See alerts user permissions.

Go to Settings ➔ Distribution List.

Enter the email distribution address in the “Email distribution list for alerts” field.

Subscribe distribution list to security rating email alerts

If enabled, Ratings Threshold Change emails are sent to an email distribution list when a portfolio company's rating change reaches or exceeds any of the specified thresholds over seven days.

Email distribution list for infection alerts

Have Infection Alerts emailed to a distribution list. If an email distribution list is entered, alerts will be sent to that list.

You can set the frequency to 10 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day.
