The Groups tab in the Access Control page allows you to manage your Access Control Groups, including add groups, edit groups, delete groups, and edit group settings.
Fields
Field | Description |
---|---|
Group Name | The name of this group. |
User Count | The number of users in this group. |
Company Count | The number of companies in this group. |
Allocated Subscriptions | The number of subscriptions that have been allocated to this group. |

Adding or Editing Groups
* Required.
- Group Name*: Assign a name for your group.
Edit Group Options
Option | Description |
---|---|
Default Group |
Set this group as the default group. It will then be displayed at the top of the groups listing as the default and can be identified by the Default Group label. The All Companies group is initially set as the default group. Since new users are automatically added to the default group, they have access to all companies. If you would like to restrict access for new users, select another group as your default group. If using SAML, you can choose the group for each user by specifying the group as part of the SAML assertion. |
Company Details | Allow this group to set company details (Tiers, life cycles, and company relationships) apart from the global group.
In order to allow an Access Control Group to create group tiers (independent from the global group Tiers), the group must include a portfolio admin or a group admin. This admin can create customized group tiers by navigating to Risk Program Setup > Tier Settings > Manage Group Tiers. |
Rating Bundles | Enabling this option provides users visibility into companies that are bundled with their group’s subscribed companies (rating bundles), even if they are not directly subscribed to that company. |
Companies | Assign companies to this group.
|
Countries | Assign countries to this group.
|
Subscription Settings
Once a company is subscribed by a group, it is allocated and owned by that group. The owning group is the only group that can manage the subscription. Visibility to the company can be shared among all groups. When other groups subscribe to the company as a shared subscription, it does not use up additional subscriptions.
- Full Access: Admin can configure the access to all available subscriptions.
- Limited Access: Admin can configure access to an allocated number of subscriptions.
- Shared Access: Admin can configure access only to companies that have been subscribed to; they cannot subscribe to additional companies.
Deleting a Group
Groups that are associated with users, companies, or countries cannot be deleted unless they are removed from the group.
