For larger organizations, there can be a number of different ratings available to monitor within the same Ratings Tree. Deciding which rating to subscribe to is dependent on your use case.
- If you are looking for the organization’s performance as a whole, subscribing to the top parent would be the best choice as findings from all of their subsidiaries will be included in that rating.
- If you need to monitor the performance of a particular subsidiary within the organization, subscribing to that subsidiary would be the best option as that allows you to see specific details for that company.
- Should you want to monitor multiple subsidiaries in the same organization, you will need to subscribe to each one separately.
Please note that companies do have the option to highlight a particular rating as their primary rating. A primary rating is identified with a Primary icon in the ratings tree, the company page, and the search results page. This indicates the rating was chosen by that company as being a better reflection of their security posture. Subscribers have the option to subscribe to the primary, the Bitsight curated, or one of the self-published ratings of a company.
