Self-published companies allow users to manage and track their infrastructure within a ratings tree. These companies can be adjusted and customized to reflect organizational infrastructure changes, such as moving assets between different companies or adding new infrastructure to a self-published company.
Self-published companies are highly customizable, allowing organizations to curate the data they need for their infrastructure management. Changes to self-published companies, including renaming or restructuring, can be made by opening a Support ticket with your request.
The following changes can be requested:
- Add Assets: To add assets to a self-published company, submit a request detailing the specific assets to be included. Specify CIDR Blocks, IP addresses, and domains that should be recognized under the company.
- Asset Dates: In some cases, the start date for assets needs to be updated to reflect changes in the infrastructure timeline. To make changes, submit the asset details along with the desired start or end date.
- Asset Duplication: If there are concerns about duplicate assets across the ratings tree, specify the assets and companies involved. Support will investigate potential duplications and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
- Employee Count: This can be modified to more effectively meet the company's requirements.
- Primary Domain: If the primary domain of a self-published company needs to be updated, provide both the current primary domain and the new domain.
- Relocate Assets: When assets need to be moved from one company to another, submit a request stating the source and target company names.
- Relocate or Remove Company: Self-published companies can be relocated or removed when no longer needed.
- Remove Company-Provided Assets: To remove assets and findings related to assets attributed to a self-published company, provide a detailed request identifying which ones should be excluded.
- Company Name: The name of the self-published company can be changed to better reflect its purpose. Self-published companies must be distinguished from the legal names of companies, making it easier to differentiate them from curated companies.
- Suppress Assets: If you need to temporarily suppress assets on a self-published company without removing them from your infrastructure, submit a request to suppress those specific assets.
- Visibility: Specify the company's visibility (public or private) to other Bitsight customers. The self-published company must be made public to be assigned as your primary rating.
